About Traralgon VIC

Beveridge Williams Traralgon office was established in late 1997 after winning the Land Survey Services Contract at AGL Loy Yang for the first time. From a small office of five staff, we have today grown to 30 staff incorporating surveying, civil engineering, town planning, project management, administration and drafting expertise.

A significant step in our growth over this time was the merger with long established local firm Dell & Keith Consultants at the start of 2006. Key staff entering the fold at this time included Licensed Surveyors Ian Keith and Dean Sneddon and Senior Surveyor Steven Bovery-Spencer. All of these staff continue to work at Traralgon Office and provide decades of experience to clients in the areas of cadastral and engineering surveying.  Ian Keith and Steven Bovery-Spencer continue to have a significant involvement in the ongoing expansion of the Australian Paper Mill at Maryvale.

Traralgon Office is managed by Licensed Surveyor Bruce Vroegop who joined Beveridge Williams in 1998. Prior to this Bruce gained extensive cadastral and mining surveying experience in regional Victoria and was for a time a Registered Surveyor in NSW.

Our survey team undertakes a wide variety of projects in the Gippsland area, including small and large scale subdivisions, plans of consolidation, title boundary re-establishments, easements surveys, level and feature surveys, engineering surveys, volume surveys, building and constructions set-outs, surveys for land acquisition by authorities, adverse possession surveys, lease area surveys and A-spec asset recording. Staff responsible for these tasks includes Licensed Surveyor Steven Wallace, Senior Surveyors Ian Lamers and Sean Fraser, Graduate Surveyor Paul Jenkins, Survey Technician Mathew Burcombe and Survey Assistant Mario Viggiano.

Our civil engineering team provide a range of design services including road and drainage, stormwater treatment and detention, large and small scale water and sewerage projects, in addition to project management and construction supervision. Our Senior Engineer Jon Becker is supported by Engineers Narelle Hahn, Raymond Myers and Billy Wight. Beveridge Williams have provided survey, drafting and engineering services across Gippsland to a variety of clients including Gippsland Water, AGL Loy Yang, local municipalities, and various developers.

Our Senior Town Planner Nicole Stow is highly regarded in the Gippsland Region with over 18 years town planning experience involving a wide range of urban and rural land development projects. Her strong communication skills and technical ability combine to achieve planning outcomes of a high standard. Nicole is assisted by planning administration staff Gwen Hickman, Natasha Rowe and Samantha King to ensure projects run in a timely and efficient manner.

On 16 July 2014, Beveridge Williams Traralgon signed a Professional Services Agreement with AGL Loy Yang Pty Ltd to provide surveying, civil engineering and GIS services for the next four years. This agreement also has extension options for two plus two years, taking the total possible length of contract to eight years. The initial four years signed so far will take our total length of involvement with AGL Loy Yang to 20 years. This is an outstanding achievement for all staff at Traralgon office, particularly the survey staff “at the coal face” led by David Price who has been with Beveridge Williams since our office opened in 1997.

Assisting David in carrying out the day-to-day operational survey work are Survey Technicians Tim Worth, Daniel Furmston and Jarod Pirotta. This work includes set-out surveys for dredgers, stackers, conveyors, bore holes and underground services and includes monthly quantity surveys and calculations and updating of the progress plan. A large component of our work is also movement monitoring of dams and reservoirs, power station infrastructure such as cooling towers and other buildings and of course the open cut coal mine.

Since 2011, Traralgon office has also been providing mine surveying expertise to Hazelwood Power at Morwell for both operational work and movement monitoring. Survey Technicians Dean Rode and Hayden Fowler have been instrumental in developing this important relationship for our office.

We continue to be excited by the diversity of projects that Gippsland offers and we believe our experienced team of professional and dedicated staff provide an outstanding resource to take your project to completion.
